OMG!! I was wondering why she hadn't posted in more than a week. I'm sorry she's been struggling.
But, did she seriously post a video of her singing happy birthday with her kid right after a suicide attempt? The contradiction in tone is enough to make my head spin and the appropriateness of it? I feel sorry for that child. Stop posting anything with your kids and go fix yourself so you can take care of them.
I'm pretty sure the birthday party was just before the attempt. You obviously don't regularly read her blog or you would know about her other children and her struggles with depression and anxiety.
NP. Yes, obviously the party was before the attempt. Posting the video on the page describing the event? I agree, time to take down the blog. The kids are, or soon will be, old enough to see all of this.
Once again, you don't read her blog so you are unaware of her story. She's been blogging for more than a decade and the one child you see in the one single post you've read is her youngest. Her other children already read about themselves on her blog. She posts everything with their permission.
I'm the first poster who said it was inappropriate. And yes, I realize that people who blog like this can have issues with attention seeking - and obviously she does have some mental health challenges. I am certainly far from perfect. What I don't like is that post. And yes, I don't read that blog but I can comment on it and I think it is entirely within my right as she does all this publicly! By her actions, she has opened herself up to public opinion. And her kids might be giving her permission now - but that's because they love her. They could change their minds completely or it could cause damage in ways they do not even realize. She's the parent - she should be protecting her children - not opening them up to the same public opinion that you are arguing against.
