Its very irritating having kids walk up and down, especially if you are trying to sleep. Be considerate. No one wants you and your kid walking up and down. Kid should be in a car seat.
If people walking up and down the aisle bother you, then buy a first class seat or get a window seat. First class is small enough that there isn't going to be walking up and down the aisle. People walking in the aisle shouldn't be a problem if you sleep in the window seat. Personally I find those who buy an aisle seat and then fall asleep to be just as rude unless they are traveling with their row companions. You are essentially barricading two other people into their seats because they don't want to wake you. If you get the aisle seat, you risk disturbances from the aisle. That said, people of many ages walk up and down the aisle. When my father was in his 70's he started having circulation problems. If he sat for more than about 90 minutes, he would lose circulation to his feet and his feet would fall asleep. He would need to get up at least every 90 minutes to walk up and down and restore the circulation in his legs and feet.
