What do you mean by undergraduates are not the focus here?

Where is here?  This thread or GA Tech?

If you are referring to the thread, the question was about undergrad applications.

If you are referring to GT, yes, they have fantastic graduate engineering and science programs, but they are also very solid at the undergraduate level and many undergrads stick around or return for masters degrees or PhDs.  If Atlanta lands Amazon's HQ2, it will largely be due to GT and the workforce they have developed.

As someone else pointed out, the school skews heavily towards engineering which has meant historically fewer women then men (and any visit to campus will confirm this), but that is changing as the State has been broadening the schools curriculum and putting a lot of resources into business and liberal arts programs.

It is very difficult to get into these days - far more difficult than 20 - 25 years ago due to the Hope Scholarship keeping a lot of kids in state. [/quote]
