OP here. Thanks everyone for the helpful ideas. I started Whole30 today. I'll try and check in after a few days to tell you how I'm doing. I also spent my lunch hour at the gym. For the first time that I can recall, I think I may finally have the motivation that I need to see this through.
How is it going? I started the Whole 30 yesterday not so much for weight loss but more as a reboot to healthy eating and want to see if I feel better off gluten or dairy.
Thanks for asking! This is OP. This is day 9 of the Whole30 for me and it's going great! I feel better and more energetic. For the first time in my life, I've somehow been able to tap into my willpower. I can't explain it. But it's working. And I feel much better. So I'm 1/3 of the way there. I stepped on the scale the first day but haven't since, so while I hope and assume I"m losing a bit of weight, I can't be sure. But from the reading I've done the Whole30 isn't intended to be a weight loss program, but a program to rid your body of unhelpful toxins and reset yourself. I have also been working out in my office gym each work day, plus I've signed up for Pilates. So, things are looking hopeful. Good luck, PP.
