I know people who don't think highly of the parents who do this in violation of the rules but I don't know of anyone who would file a complaint with the league.[/quote] My son wanted to stick with the MSI team he had been with since he was 6 so when he joined a travel team at 11, we were really upfront with the coach and parents of the MSI team were ok with it, understood that he was only going to one of the practices and only some of the games, and were happy to keep a good player on the roster. I think this only works if the MSI coach and parents are ok with it and there are no hard feelings that we always prioritized the travel games. It helped that the MSI team was very casual and friendly. There wasn’t the nastiness about play time that can happen with travel.[/quote]
