And if you prefer iB you go to Robinson --as we did when we had the choice.  But it was nice to have the AP courses sophomore year as a supplement to the IB sophomore year before the IB diploma begins.  We're so lucky to have this flexibility and to have a large enough system where there are so many options.  Friends in more remote locations talk of having 5 AP courses total offered in their school--with no IB.[/quote]

If you are just interested in the AP exams to place out of college courses, you don't need to actually take the classes...you can just take the tests after the IB classes.[/quote]
