Once students are in the pool of having the very high qualifications to be considered for top schools (of which UPenn is one) then selection is really essentially a lottery. For any student to get in there is a huge amount of luck. Other than giving an extremely large donation to the school, there is no inside knowledge that makes it not a luck-based outcome.[/quote]
