White will probably get dirty, so I'd go with something darker. I prefer something calming like navy or dark green, but could be persuaded to go with something striking like red or maybe yellow. How do you want to feel at your fire pit?
+1 avoid white. You can see every bit of pollen. Agree on determining the feel you want. We have two deep red ones on our front lawn. We sit there and watch the kids play and drink coffee/wine. It’s my ‘pop of color’ in front of our natural cedar with white trim house. The color makes me happy. For your space, I’d want something more natural toned to embrace the outdoor feeling. I’d probably choose navy blue or dark green. I wouldn’t want visual competition with the fire, I’d just want to be there and relax in nature. I couldn’t deal with the multi color look.
