NP here, who also hates BOA.  I had a savings acct with another bank that BOA bought.  They lowered the interest rate, so I decided to close the account and transfer the funds.  I did an online transfer through BOA's website - and they froze it, with no notice!  They claimed it was because it was not in line with my usual banking, and then it took probably a dozen phone calls and hours, followed by a trip to a BOA branch, to get them to unfreeze it and give me my money.  Customer service was atrocious.  They kept transferring me, disconnecting me, then their systems were down so they couldn't look things up, they were supposed to call back and never did, sent me to the wrong depts - it was just a nightmare.  I've never seen such incompetence.  [/quote]
