I personally think that we don’t quite know the long-term health effects of elective freezing of eggs. In particular, I would be concerned that the increased hormones could lead to an increased risks for certain types of cancer. Additionally, I worry that as a society we need to focus on supporting motherhood through paid maternity leave and things like that first or else the new norm will be companies expecting women to delay having kids in a way that also is not a real choice.
