48 in reproductive land is light years older than 45.  And do you really know how your friends conceived?  Were you in the room?  I can tell you that 99% of donor egg couples don't tell a SOUL about how they conceived: not their mothers, their sisters, not even the children themselves.  
There are thousands upon thousands of donor IVF cycles done yearly.  These babies are all passed off as "miracle conceptions" (and miracles they are, but spontaneous they are not).[/quote]
99% is a random number to pull out of your behind; some people are very forthcoming and some aren't. I have friends who have asked me to help them pick a sperm donor and others who don't announce their pregnancies until they are 6 months in. To assume everyone is the same, and that almost  everyone who uses a donor egg lies about it is strange.[/quote]
