All this discussion about the ASFS walk zone made me realize I may have a problem in the fall. Is ASFS walkable from Lyon village/Clarendon with a stroller? We just moved here and will have a 5mo in September. I’d assumed I’d be walking DC1 to school but now I’m not sure.
Baby carrier for the steps
Or kiss your kid goodbye at the bottom of the steps. Kindergarteners do not need to be walked into the building/to their classroom by mommy and/or daddy.
I wouldn’t do that for K. Maybe a little older.
Well, mine took the bus and survived.
Does the ASFS bus drop off at the bottom of these stairs?
No!! The stairs are just a back entrance. The buses all drop off and pick up at the main entrance on Lincoln Street, which is a typical school entrance (except for the fact that in the past few years parents have paid thousands of dollars at the annual PTA auction to have this bus loop named after their kid but that is another story altogether).
