It isn't required or even necessary.[/quote] I alerted my credit card company about a recent trip to Mexico (they have a form online). They still put a hold on my card and were supremely unhelpful when I called from Mexico. They had messed something up and it took quite a while on the phone when I got back to straighten it out. (There were added complications - like they'd sent out a new card but I hadn't received it yet when I left so I was using the old one...) Grrr.[/quote]
