If you think something else happened, you can pursue a civil matter, separate and apart from whatever the police do or do not do criminally.  But remember, in a civil matter (or criminal actually) your son's actions would also be put under a microscope.  While what happened is undoubtedly a tragedy, unless you believe he was forced to drink in excess against his will, he bears at least some responsibility for what occurred.[/quote]
