Sounds to me like he was desperate to see that Trump did not win.  And, he was willing to do most anything to make that happen.

And, the British litigation referenced here, I believe, is the suit that has been filed against him around the dossier.

What do you think intelligence officers do?  They gather information, including rumor, solicited and unsolicited, accurate and inaccurate.  They don't filter the information they gather, they gather everything.  Filtering comes later.  [/quote]
