But wow, in 7th, my kid was looking at me straight in the eyes and saying her homework was done when it wasn't, and I didn't know until the report card came with comments like, "only 35% of her homework was turned in."  That led to serious work with our kid, but she learned she couldn't get away with skating, and now in 9th, she's a very strong student.  I just hang on...a passenger on that teen roller coaster...[/quote]
