I am a foreigner on a work visa, not an immigrant. If a country wants to limit immigration, that's perfectly fine. But at least do it humanely. Don't throw out people, especially people who work at jobs no American wants and who pay taxes. There are many ways to tighten immigration of people who want to come in but haven't yet done so: wall, eliminating the lottery-based option, restricting family reunification to close family members, strengthening the merit-based system that is already in place...

I agree with you, but liberals are almost to the point that they don't want to do anything at all about illegal immigration. Sadly, that is the direction that the country is going in. And the tea party idiots held up common sense measures years ago like forcing employers to use e-verify. [/quote]
