We just went about 10 days ago It's a little lame, but for 2-3 days within driving distance I wasn't unhappy. Felt more middle class than I am accustomed to. We did 3 nights. That was too many. 1 is probably enough, but 2 considering driving and packing is fine. We stayed in a huge 2 bedroom room suite for $1500 and that was weekend of peak week, their most expensive room. We booked maybe a month ago. Smaller rooms would be better priced. No idea why it would be $599/ night. The slides are duper safe. 3 year depending on their braveness would be fine on a few real water slides. I'd probably go with them on the larger ones, but there were definitely smaller kids going alone drowning is not a real issue- the water is just not high enough). For 5 or 6 and up definitely do the magi quest. Don't buy the pass they try to sell. Food is mediocre, but there are a ton of places to eat nearby, both fast food, like chipotle, to what I would call middle America chains to as good as you can get and still bring kids. Most people seemed to bring food or do fast food or pizza delivery. Characters are really weak. They go the same story time every day, with the same book and unenthusiastic reader. It would cost so little more for them to rotate 2 or 3 books, but they really don't care. At that time of year you may get a good weather day. If you do skip the water park and do historic Williamsburg for the day. You San do the water park when you return. And while it is large for an indoor park, it really only takes 4-8 hours total in your trip to be bored of it and it is open 9-8 daily. In short glad we went. I probably would go back unless the kids asked, my guess is that they will ask.
