OP is emblematic of why HRC lost and DJT won. I hate DJT and think he is a liar, but he at least was able to connect with flyover country (even if it was all lies and deceit). I hope Dems can turn around this east coast elistist stuff so they can start winning, because I think they do have the better policies for flyover country. But they won't be able to do so if they show such disdain like OP.
Oh stop it. OP is obviously a right wing troll trying to stir things up. I'm from flyover country, left it years ago, but realize why people don't leave. For one, not everyone is unemployed. All of my friends have decent jobs. They have large homes. They love their families and friends and like their quiet corner of the world, even if it looks a little worse for wear in terms of the local economy and upkeep of public spaces and despite not having easy access to the sort of offerings a larger more thriving metropolis has in terms of culture and retail and whatnot. But they have a large supportive community where people have known each other for decades and show up for weddings and funerals and bring you food when you're sick. Also almost all of my extended relatives in flyover country are Democrats and can't stomach DJT.
