There should be a term limit. I also would like to see the house and senate resembles the general population. Kick them all out, drain the swamp.
I do not like all elements of these tax plans - same with the ACA. What do you include in general population? http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2017/01/24/115th-congress-sets-new-high-for-racial-ethnic-diversity/ Early AM on 12-2-17 I finished a movie and flipped on the senate show-C Span. Sen Kaine-D-VA has an amendment in the voting process to reverse the repeal of ATM. Yays and nays were odd-less than 30 and over 60. Heard the name Booker-D-NJ. Voted nay with the R's. Tax code is complex and simplifying individual returns will reduce fraud. I'm a Democrat and not in favor of much of what some R's spout. Sen Toomey-R-PA talked about what is in property taxes and compared townships. In PA and NJ there are towns and townships surround them. One might include trash and leaves in taxes which increase the taxes by ie 550 in a FX sanitary district. That gets written off on federal returns. Another might exclude it and people pay privately. A third could provide the services but send a separate bill therefore excluding it from a FIT deduction. One place I lived billed about 1500 annually and another had 2x week pickup at the back door plus leaves totaling about 1500. Those smaller jurisdictions have expenses that are far more traceable and taxpayers are more reactive. Fairfax buries costs. Well now that my SALT is likely to be gone I want market rates for the 44-45000 households getting cheap services. Fairfax County has municipal leaf and trash in some neighbrhoods. Below market rates.
