Curious why you think this. Bridges has a self contained classroom for kids with disabilities and CMI doesn’t. By definition the kids in that room are not enjoying “inclusion.”  It sounds from the article like that is the classroom Abigail was in. It doesn’t take a huge stretch of the imagination to think that abuse is more likely in a room with only young children with serious disabilities many of whom probably cannot report what is going on. Kids are grouped by ability and the higher needs kids get way more adults per students than the regular classrooms.   Windowed doors with lots of adults makes for a ton of transparency.  I can see what's going on any time I walk by to look in on my kiddo.  Any staff member can.  Creative minds 100% inclusion isn't perfect.  I know of one high-level SpEd kiddo who used to be with my son who is at creative minds.  He spends most of the time in the hall with an aide because the "regular" classroom overwhelms him.[/quote]
