Now, you can't have cheese or a cookie at a holiday party and go home and eat spaghetti for dinner. But the reality is, this is the holiday season, and OP will be at parties. If you are honestly expecting her to eat and drink literally zero at those parties, she's going to be miserable and fail after one week. She may not lose 5 pounds in a month, but she'll lose 5 pounds by early in the New Year. And she'll keep going. If she has not one wine spritzer between now and Christmas, she's going to feel deprived, and give up.[/quote]
