Nope.  It's one thing to have an attitude of "Let me tell you how it is in my little town that my family has lived in for six generations" and quite another to be incapable of compromise.  Her lack of compromise is astounding.  It's as if Evelyn thinks she alone, is a gift in and of herself, to David.  At 18 I was capable of compromising.  And it's weird - she HAS a brother - you'd think someone with a sibling would be able to do it.[/quote]
