When I first saw the headline I thought it was an Onion article.
  Me too.
Why? Because porn stars can't possibly be victims of sexual harassment?
Porn is just gross. I always ask this if you're such a feminist (male or female) - Would you want YOUR daughter in that role? People just cringe when I ask. No, they don't deserve to be harassed. However, in that arena in particular, where do you draw the line? If you're going to objectify yourself as a woman, the self-respect you lack is giving others a message to make inappropriate moves.
By this logic, women in “respectable” professions like medicine and teaching shouldn’t ever face sexual harassment. Yet, we do. Maybe it’s simply that there are abusive men everywhere.
I'm not disagreeing. I know there are pigs everywhere. However, we are not an evolved society by any stretch of the imagination, honoring women the way we honor men. Furthermore, as women, we can't ever see eye-to-eye on anything, and quite frankly, women who are OK with porn are not my kind of women anyway. So while I do appear as though I'm making excuses for me, I'm really NOT making excuses for women. If you want to be fucked publicly by some dude with a huge dick, you're creating your own image. just saying And as a teacher, I've never been sexually harassed by any male colleague. As a young professional in my first career, I did encounter a few disgusting males, but I spoke up. So we either teach our daughters to blast these men, or we teach them to be victimized. Personally, I don't believe in victimization.
