I’m not worried about teens. I’m worried about single adults trying to afford a one bedroom apartment on 40 hours a week, so they have time to go to MC or a training school. I’m worried about the young married couple with a baby trying to afford an apartment, daycare, diapers, and formula with both parents working only 40 hours a week. Those folks need $15/hour.
I'm worried about the adults working McDonalds who will now be replaced by a kiosk. With their limited skills and a $15 minimum, they'll never work again.
Not only that, but the assistant manager gets around $15/hr. If the liberals in MoCo insist the cashiers' minimum be raised to $15/hr for a job a 12-year-old could do after an hour's training, then the AM will have to be raised, too. Here's what will happen: All cashiers will be fired and replaced with a kiosk, and the Assistant Manager will continue at $15/hr. He will be now do his regular job AND help the "non-technical" types at the kiosks. So....1) loss of jobs, and 2) more work, same pay for those who remain. Multiply this effect all over, at every little chain throughout the store, both fast food and low-skilled retail. Liberals can be so stupid.
