Come on people...I am from a different part of the country where we just had a PTA. These PTA people here need to get a life especially in APS. Anytime I get an email from our PTA "Executive Leadership" or "Senior Leadership Team" makes me want to vomit. Are these people trying to make up for something they didn't get in the corporate world? Maybe they didn't get into a G&T program when they were young? They need to look in the mirror, take a deep breath and realize they aren't that special.
Why do you care so much? At our school the elected members are the Executive Committee. We never sign emails that way. Each officer has their own PTA email address and we just email from our PTA accounts. Our PTA provide funds for enrichment/training for teachers, classroom supplies, student scholarships for after school enrichment, the list goes on. While volunteers are key it is the officers who organize these things, so who cares what they call themselves. You seem to have an outdated idea of what the PTA also does and who runs the PTA. At many schools it is working parents who do this in addition to their paid jobs and taking care of their families. So while we can all agree PTA officers aren't special by virtue of being PTA officers I have to wonder what they have done to you to warrant such disdain?
