Wayside absolutely has FARMS students. There are HOC units and MPDUs within several of the communities. My kids are no longer there, but they definitely had friends who were part of the FARMS program. These parents went out of their way to make sure their kids were in a school with a LOW FARMS rate. They wanted their kids to be educated, not be in class with lots of kids who may not have enough to eat at home which can lead to other problems at school.
I think argument of no FARMs may be coming due to numbers being too low when compared to rest of MCPS. Since it's less than 5% , some will say that it's insignificant and close to zero. Anyway, this information can verified by looking at fact sheets and an another poster already posted details earlier. Let's provide some more useful feedback to OP. I do have child in Wayside, but no experience with SPED to comment on that. I do like this school. Area does have money and sometime you will find folks who are not grounded, but it comes with this territory. You will always find such people in richer areas.
