Purdue Pharma, owned by the Sacklers, led a sophisticated marketing campaign to target pharmacies, doctors and patients and get them started on a drug ( first month supply coupons) they knew was highly addictive. They pled guilty to fraud and paid the government a fine that consists of less than three cents on every dollar of profit they made. Three execs got off with misdemeanor charges. Thousands have died. Families have been destroyed and a street opiate trade was kicked off. Sacklers need to do time (but won't). The company needs to be bled white for what they did. Every museum and university that bears the Sackler name should remove that name. [/quote]
