If this is just for the items you mentioned, it is absurdly excessive --unless you do the same.  And the answer depends on if you make $1million or $1.8, 2.5, whatever and your ages, your other expenses like mortgage, and your savings.   I am assuming no kids yet.  Why not just have her "allowance" come out of a joint checking account from which all bills are paid (even if you put them on your credit card, you need to pay that bill each month). That way, she can see the relative costs of her purchases against the family necessities.
