I'd say for me (woman) sex can be repulsive when I'm not connected to my partner. When I'm connected, it's awesome. Could it be, OP, that you and your SO need some help connecting?
This.. when I'm not connected to my DH (ie, bitter/angry with him), and I tried having sex with him, it made me feel gross. Otherwise, it can be awesome.
Then here we have the answer to discussions in other threads, about why a woman shouldn't have sex with her husband just because she's married to him! She should do it if and when they both feel like it!
Agreed that when you're "not connected" to your partner "(ie, bitter/angry with him)," you shouldn't have sex ... that's a perfectly valid reason to refuse sex, and sex when you're bitter/angry is not good for either person. But if your partner wants to be intimate (ie, have sex or otherwise), and you refuse because you'd rather watch Netflix or spend another hour looking at Facebook pictures of your old high school friends, then you are creating a relationship problem.
