I grew up in NY and generally do not have any difficulty in calling some one out, but words evaded me.  I just didn't know what would be appropriate.  
This sad sack was telling his daughter that eventually they will play a team that wasn't so terrible.

What a douche.  They are 8-year olds.  Like most douches, time will not be his friend.  I've seen many douches humbled in this sport as[b] their child ages up and is not longer the 'star' he thought she was[/b].[/quote]

This exactly. I have a teen that plays so am down the road from U9. The 'noise' from the uber-loud, competitive parents has greatly died down over the years as there are fewer and fewer of those players from back when still standing. The true talent goes on and time has a way of quieting even the most obnoxious parent.[/quote]
