DH and I rarely ever drink--may 2-3 times per year and never to excess. I used to drink but quit when I had kids.
Funny. I started drinking when I had kids. Just kidding. This is a great question. Before I got married and I was dating, I used to drink more on dates because I was very shy. Now, I am much less shy and feel like more than one drink per hour reduces the thrill of the evening. Just to address this before another poster brings it up, I have not found that drinking causes any problems regarding sex and I believe that dating and relationships are much easier now for me than 25 years ago (e.g., I can be a better date, lover, etc. because I have more experience and confidence than when I was younger. I can also be more focused on her rather than worried about something I might say or do "wrong".) I am interested in how the single women feel about this. Ladies - if you drink, do you think a glass of wine helps "put you at ease" or "in the mood"?
