We're getting ready to gut a kitchen and I'm going with Thermador appliances. I had a 30 inch Thermador gas range in our old house and loved the 90 degree auto-simmer feature which is perfect for melting chocolate without scorching, simmering butter sauces, etc. If you read the pro-chef forums, you will see them give honest feedback about all the high-end appliances - worth spending a couple of hours of research before you spend a lot of money on this.
