Software engineers writing AI programs.
+1 I'm in research and development and no one talks seriously about innovation being handled by robots or computer programs more than using machine learning or databases to analyze specific datasets with human guidance. But I agree the road is set - I just bought a robot vacuum cleaner with hopes Of needing a bit less housecleaning.
there was a white paper by accenture i read a couple of years ago that said most routine (so not your job in bleeding edge greenfield r&d) it functions are ripe for ai and self-writing/editing programs within 20 years. for example it functions for retail or banks.
