From the article: "Sydnor’s mother is a 30-year police veteran who has worked as a detective in the homicide unit and is now assigned to the youth division handling sexual abuse cases." So sad, and ironic in the case of mom's prior work on the homicide unit. I so wish I knew how to address the entrenched crime in the city more effectively. :([/quote]
