Really?  Can I ask you how long it took you to get into it?  My husband and I watched probably half of the first season and then we kind of gave up.  I've loved every other HBO show, so this was really surprising to me.  We don't watch much TV (we usually do one show at a time and watch maybe a couple of episodes a week), but usually we get sucked in and then it's something to look forward to.  This show felt like something we needed to do and then finally we just stopped.  I really wanted to like it though![/quote]

PP here.  My husband had the same reaction as you, but I was hooked from the beginning.  It was so bizarre and utterly unlike anything I had ever seen; yet it was also beautifully conceived,  acted, and written.  I found every episode so shocking and unexpected and was just thoroughly intrigued.  My mom was also a huge fan, and we had many intense conversations about it!  Probably one of my favorite shows ever.[/quote]
