Agree with all of this. But if you want to start sooner, I'd just get on Humm or Lawani's schedule. All three of them meet each week to discuss cases and decide on treatment options. They are all great to work with. [/quote]

I'm another GW fan.  I'm a long time patient there. I had two IVF babies with them and recently did and out-of-state FET with them (I moved).  Dr. Comstock was my doctor this time and she was great. She was very helpful at explaining all the different scenarios in detail and answering my questions.  As other posters have said they really all work together so I have also been working with Dr. Frankfurter ( my former Dr).  They are honestly all [b]very kind and personal.[/b]  I had a crazy, travel schedule when  preparing for my FET and Dr. Frankfurter changed the FET transfer time last minute to accommodate me.  He didn't have to do that.  It meant that I would be home much earlier though and with much less headache and he wanted things to be easy for me.  Overall,  I found the place to have great energy and all the doctors, nurses and staff are personal and kind.  They care! I also had the unique opportunity to be a patient at another out-of-state clinic (UCSF) where I moved to do my testing and monitoring.  UCSF is a state of the art facility.  It was impressive, but it was also impersonal and confusing.  Every time i had an appointment there seemed to be confusion and a different doctor.  I think that is just the way it goes when you are at a large facility.  GW has been amazing and they have worked with all my changing logistics (I moved again during the cycle) and they never complain.  I am definitely a PITA patient and I'm sure it was annoying to keep track of my issues and logistics.  [/quote]

Ha!  being attentive to your issues, knowing your history/records and making accommodations/changes to protocol just might though!  It did for me.  There are certainly many variables to becoming pregnant....I would just want to make sure that my doctor is on top of things and is organized.  I appreciate doctors who go the extra mile and call me after hours, know my history etc...  And you never know.... if Dr. Frankfurter had not changed his schedule to accommodate my schedule then I would have had a very hectic day post transfer.  It would have involved stress and anxiety for me.  And that is not ideal post FET.

Every time i went to UCSF, a doctor would walk in and say "what are you here for today?"  I would give my best guess.  Then they would look at the records.  They would ask me questions like " have you ever had a mock transfer?"  And I would say umm, yes last month with Dr. XXX right here at this office.  This does not give one a good feeling.  It may not make a difference in whether or not I would get pregnant, but I tend to believe the fertility experience is a holistic experience.  And feeling like a doctor knows you and your history and yes even cares about your well-being may very well make a bigger difference than we know.  It certainly makes the whole process easier and more pleasant.[/quote]
