I'm trying just to figure out why Trumpkins are in favor of it after all the hype about how Trump was going to get rid of H1B (high skilled worker) visas. There was a lot of Trump anti H1B rhetoric. Now they want to expand high skilled immigrants. Why the change?[/quote] as i understand, the bill replaces rather than expands skilled immigrants - changes rules (point, salary offered must be 1.5 median etc) but the number remains similar. meanwhile, the overall level of legal immigration is cut to 500k by 2027.[/quote]
