OP again here - for what it's worth, we don't do baths every night, usually every other, but our times seem to stay the same . I'll try to start putting them both down by 7:30 and see if that helps. It's hard now, too, with it being so nice out that DS1 wants to play outside when we get home so that also pushes our schedule back if we do. We did have a pretty calm night in terms of a quiet dinner and bath time (no screaming involved...). Last night was better - he was down around 7:45pm and woke at 11:15. Ate about 4-5oz bottle and woke again at some point during the night (I didn't even look) but I didn't get up and he seemed to settle very quickly on his own. Woke at 4am on the dot so I took him downstairs to the couch and he was pretty much awake at that point, laid on me, slept a little bit, but fussed until 5am on the dot when he was up for the day. Was VERY ready for his first nap by the time I dropped him at the nanny's at 7:30am.
Just a warning that you're trainings him to be up For the day at 4 am by picking him up and taking him to the couch every morning. He will get used to thinking it's mom snuggle time. You will have to break that at some point and let him fuss, learn to fall back asleep or sleep though the 4 am wake up.
