Mazda 5. I used to love and recommend it, but recently it's been making some weird noises at the back, and it's only 7 years old, so... I need to get it seen to. having said that, it's the perfect small family car. Not much longer than our ancient Toyota Corolla, but seats 6 at a pinch.
So we also have a Mazda5 and I similarly recommended it all the time but it hasn't lasted as well as I would like. It is 9 and on its last legs. But if they still made them in the US I might still buy another one, because we haven't found anything comparable. I have two kids, but we carpool a lot and my very small kids (including a tiny 10 yo) seem destined to be in boosters for a long time. Folding down second row to get to a third row, when my younger is still in a fixed car seat seems problematic. I would love ideas!!!
