It is an accomplishment for these students no matter how you try to belittle it and no one is asking YOU for anything. The community colleges organize the graduation ceremonies; it is not the students organizing them. Many students are unable to go directly to a 4-year college for whatever reasons. Sometimes it's financial or they are not yet ready maturity-wise or academically.
