[/quote] A different subject often discussed but coaches can see a kid play at a camp, a club league game, a tournament, a practice, on YouTube, in a high school game and others that I am sure I missed. The point is that you need the coaches from schools that are good fits for your kid to see your kid play. No other coach matters. The coach from SE New Mexico State may see your kid play at a Florida tournament but unless your kid has an interest in going there it is not helpful to the process of picking a school. That is a big role for parents - helping a kid decide what schools can work for your kid. It is not easy by any means. The DA (will be) and ECNL is good at supplying venues to play in front of coaches in other parts of the country. If your kid wants to play in CA then they need opportunities to play in front of the coaches from CA schools that are of interest. [/quote]
