Zero dollars per year. I might get a second job next summer when my DD is a bit older so I can start saving. I am working on saving for retirement.
A good friend who's an RN picked up extra prn (as needed) work with a major insurer last June and has been able to stash $25k. In lieu of benefits, prn nurses get $$$. My friend decided not to take a loan and, hopefully, will not have to for the next four years. With the grant money and prn money, tuition is paid for freshman year. My concern is how the extra income might impact sophomore year.
m I am a teacher and I'm trying to think of a summer job where I can make as much money as possible.
Do you teach a subject you can tutor? My mom tutored algebra from the time I was a child and was able to increase her business when she finally retired from teaching. If there were more hours in the day she could tutor more. Math tutors are in high demand.
