[/quote] It is a little bit confusing, because we have two different things going on -- instructional days and teacher work days. Usually, when we have an inclement weather closing, students and teachers both stay home so they just both make up that day. But for the Day without a Woman, kids stayed home but staff reported. That creates a little imbalance in trying to make things up. To work it out the superintendent basically removed the 7.5 hour "teacher workday without kids" on Monday June 12th. That's when teachers clean up their rooms and get checked out by the principal for the year. We don't have that now -- instead we have 3 days with kids, but with a 2 hour early dismissal each day -- so 6 hours total without kids instead of 7.5. No one is working an extra day. [/quote]
