LOL Bowser is obviously worried about the optics here. Her account just tweeted this: https://twitter.com/MayorBowser/status/865008428116189184
Whatever - too little too late. Her earlier comments tell the truth about what she thinks of this.
Wonder how Kaya and Fenty got connected in the first place since Kaya was hired by Gray. Maybe it was Bowser's recommendation for her old pal Adrian and that's what's got Bowser so nervous now ...
Kaya was Michelle Rhee's deputy. When Gray won, he decided to promote her into the role of chancellor. They are ALL connected, but Kaya has the weakest connecction to Bowser.
I believe PP was speculating that it could have been Bowser who suggested to Kaya that she give Fenty a special placement, since Kaya didn't have any obligation to Fenty because Kaya was hired by Gray. But obviously Bowser has personal ties to Fenty, so Bowser has good reason to recommend Fenty receive special treatment.
Nothing in the IG report suggest that Bowser and Henderson talked about any of these. Laurene Powell (Fenty's significant other) is a big ed reform funder (remember the $10M Wash Leadership Academy won?). More than enough reason for Kaya to help him out for her own reasons.
