In general, the broader it is, the less enforceable. But 'enforcement' is only done in court, and that does not stop lawyers from threatening action, which is often enough to scare people off. One thing I'll say as an employer - if you have one, disclose it to your new employer before you are hired. If you do not, and your old employer goes after your new employer, you will look pretty dishonest. Technical people are the worst on this stuff - they sign whatever is put in front of them and then claim ignorance to the new employer. I'd dealt with it a few times. [/quote]
