I think there can be some value in bringing in someone who can look at what you have with a fresh eye. It could be that bringing your house "back to life" can be done using a lot of the pieces you already have.

And I totally agree with the previous poster who suggested looking at the big picture. It's very easy, for me at least, to go to Homegoods and end up buying lots of cute pillows or statues or junk like that, but that just ends up obscuring the big stuff. [/quote]
