I know this is a very old thread but any updates on this?
There is only one K class with 16 and 2 teachers (there has never been 3 K classes?). The current Head of School has been in the position for 4 years and was a teacher there before. She is warm and receptive to parents and teachers concerns. I will admit my bias - I was a teacher there and my kids went there and I've been on and off the staff over time.
There were three K classes soon after the group of teachers came over from little Langley; hired by a fabulous head who took over from the founder when she retired. There were first two K classrooms upstairs. The program was successful and popular and they were able to grow the program to 45 students, necessitating three classes. That's when the three classes moved downstairs to the lower level of the cottage. Then everything fell apart because the new head at the time was not a good fit as described in previous posts. CDS is a gem and she never 'got' how special CDS is and tried to change it. That's why most of that team left. So glad to learn the current head has been able to rebuild confidence in the program.
