Why should they?  They are not hurting for students. Parents pore over data, stats, etc and you're telling me they "assumed" it was for AA students only! How is that possible, after the furore about "Rob Brown" being selective...Maybe a Newcomer to DC thought that, but on the whole racism plain and simple, but Banneker is not hurting! And isn't the principal a non-AA and many of the staff, kids are doing well, teachers are happy, and the principal was principal of the year.  :roll: [/quote]

OH please. DCUM and DC moms research every single school like there is nobody's business. I've talked to moms working school fair and they knew more about my school than I did. Don't try to play that you don't know the school is open to everyone in DC. First thing you see every year with scores and showing Banneker #1, that doesn't make you want to inquire about the school? Excuses are like assholes....[/quote]

My kids are only here until kindergarten before we will have to move and Rven I know that Banneker isn't only for black kids.
