(And BTW-- I agree with the argument that this girl, with her UMC advantages and highly educated parents is not the type of student who should get a URM boost.  I think this is an excellent example of why we should move beyond "URMs" for affirmative action, and focus on the FARMS population and first gen college (which already happens) for affirmative action instead, since these are the kids who don't get the advantage of good school districts, private school, summer enrichment camps, SAT tutoring, extracurriculars,  etc.  But, this girl still accomplished something special. All of the Ivys plus Stanford don't independently admit the same unqualified candidate). [/quote]
